Description:This position is for a 12-hour night shift.
Responsibilities include providing therapy in an acute care community hospital.
Treatments performed will include nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, high flow oxygen, non-invasive ventilation, cough assist, and intrapulmonary percussive ventilation.
Assist with intubations and bronchoscopies as needed.
Manage mechanical ventilation and transport of mechanically ventilated patients.
Experience with pediatric emergency and pediatrics is preferred if demonstrated competency exists.
You will provide continuous albuterol therapy.
Patient age groups range from infants to geriatrics, with a preference for neonates.
Previous experience in trauma, community hospitals, emergency room, and adult intensive care is required.
Preferred experience in Level I trauma and teaching hospitals, as well as acute pediatric care.
Respiratory care experience must include airway management, medication administration, vent management, arterial blood gases, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary toileting.
Experience with the following equipment is preferred: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, and Ltv 1200/HT70.
Travelers are not eligible if previously employed by this health system.
