Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 20-week night shift assignment in Maryland. The role supports neonatal through geriatric patients, with an average daily census around 40 and duties including ABG draws, ventilators, and CPAP/BiPAP, with floating to all care areas.

Applicants must have CRT or RRT, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years of pediatric and adult critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to diverse patient groups (neonates to geriatrics)
• Perform ABG draws and follow respiratory protocols
• Operate ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP equipment
• Assist with aerosol therapies and intubation support
• Adhere to break policies between assignments and manage patient census

Experience: 2 years required, first-time travelers accepted with strong pediatric/adult experience

License: CRT or RRT

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required

• Experience in critical care

Description:

RRT position on nights with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Holidays are required as scheduled.

Floating within the specialty as needed and to all care areas to support RRT care.

No on-call requirement.

The patient population includes neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily census is approximately 40 patients.

Responsibilities include providing respiratory care to diverse patient groups.

Special procedures include ABG draws and following respiratory protocols.

Special equipment includes ventilators, bipaps, cpaps, and blood gas machines.

Candidates must possess skills in adult critical care, aerosol setups, intubation assistance, and various respiratory therapies.

Candidates must be comfortable floating within the scope with no restrictions or special requests.

Extensions of contracts are possible, but candidates must adhere to break policies between assignments.
