Cynet Health is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for an outpatient setting in a 372-bed acute care hospital. Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shift 07:00–17:30, 8 hours per shift. Specialty/Patient Population Skills/Experience:
Experience with neurology and orthopedics is required.
Work setting experience in an outpatient clinic is necessary.
Required assessment skills/experience include adaptive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, body mechanics, identifying environmental barriers, pain assessment, sensory response, skin integrity, strength testing, and monitoring vital signs.
Required documentation skills/experience include discharge, evaluations, long and short-term goals, care plans, reassessments, and time management.
Orthopedic case skills/experience required include ankle sprains, degenerative disc disease, degenerative joint disease, elbow injuries/tendinopathy, extremity mobilization, frozen shoulder, gait training, hip fractures/injuries, knee injuries/tendinopathy, low back pain, myofascial release, postoperative conditions, spinal conditions, and taping.
Neurologic case skills/experience include post-stroke rehabilitation.
Professional skills and knowledge required include home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, patient education, appointment scheduling, and recognizing signs of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
Billing skills/experience required include commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, private pay, and workers' compensation.
Age-specific competencies required include knowledge of middle adults and older adults.
Experience with EHR systems is required; WebPT EHR knowledge preferred.
This position is in an acute care hospital facility with 372 staffed beds.
Interdisciplinary support will be provided, and the focus will be on treating patients with diagnoses including stroke, postoperative joint conditions, fractures, osteoarthritis, and pain.
Candidates must meet all clinical compliance requirements prior to start.
Therapists must also be committed to completing assigned modules and training within specified timelines.
