Job summary

Austin Oaks Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, located in South Austin, Texas, seeks a Therapist-PRN to contribute to inpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents. The position requires Texas licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT or in supervised licensure) and prior inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field.
• Current State Licensure or eligibility; CPR/BLS certification recommended.
• Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date.
• Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.

• Assess, design, structure, and implement therapeutic services to meet patients and families.
• Work collaboratively as a treatment team member.
• Work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Therapist-PRN at Inpatient Hospital

• Responsible for developing and writing treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.


• Is a liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.


• Responsible for assessing, designing, structuring, and implementing therapeutic services that best meets the needs of patients and their families.


• Working collaboratively as a treatment team member.


• Will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director.


• Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A).


• Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

Current State Licensure. Current CPR or BLS certification. Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date. Is deemed a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP)

EXPERIENCE

Required: At least 6 months work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
