Job summary

Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking Mental Health Technicians for the Evening shift (3p-11p) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. The role emphasizes creating a safe, therapeutic milieu and assisting with daily living activities.

Ideal candidates will have CPR certification and at least one year of psychiatric experience preferred, with flexibility to work on units serving diverse patient groups including male and dual-diagnosis populations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience: One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification: CPR Certification. Human behavior preferred including therapeutic relationships & processes, age specific growth & development, limit setting, crisis & behavior management.
