Job summary

Denver Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Therapist to join our team on a PRN schedule. You will conduct individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, and coordinate with families and outside referrals to support patient care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling, a current clinical license, and CPR and de‑escalation certification (or within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent required.
  • Current clinical or social work license required by state regulations.
  • CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
  • Display active involvement in the treatment planning process.
  • Provide family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
  • Communicate actively with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
  • Communicate proactively with those involved with the patient's treatment.
  • Work well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members.
  • Demonstrate active communication with team members.
  • Effectively communicate to UR on treatment and LOS issues.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for clients in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
  • Demonstrate appropriate crisis intervention and de‑escalation skills.
  • Act as a member of the team when a crisis situation occurs, assisting others to ensure patient safety.
  • Complete accurate assessments of patients utilizing clinical skills.
  • Assist care coordination department as requested.
  • Complete all documentation thoroughly, timely, and in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Display a thorough knowledge of confidentiality.
  • Complete releases appropriately.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA regulations and abide by those standards.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all clinical regulations, including TJC, Medicaid, and state and federal laws.
  • Display active involvement in the discharge, transition, and after‑care planning treatment processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
