Practices as an Occupational Therapist within the scope of care defined in the Georgia Occupational Therapy Act. Plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of OT interventions for assigned patients, ensuring a continuum of care within a hospital, ambulatory clinic, long-term care facility, and/or community-based environment. Rotates, at designated intervals, to specific units of service to explore, train in, and achieve satisfactory competency in various OT practice areas.

Grady's Rehabilitation Therapy staff aim to help patients improve their functional abilities and self-care in the most effective way. Patients are referred for services after experiencing stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, surgery, cancer, limb loss, neurological or medically complex conditions.
Rehabilitation services include occupational and physical therapy, as well as speech and language services.
Licensed occupational therapists provide evaluation, treatment, and education. Key areas of interest include upper extremity and hand rehabilitation, splinting, adaptive equipment, activities of daily living, lymphedema management, and functional capacity evaluations.
