Jeff Temps, Jefferson's in-house temporary service, is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to support the Department of Physical Therapy at our Navy Yard location. The ideal candidate should be experienced and comfortable evaluating and treating neurologic patients. Join a dedicated team committed to providing superior care.

Schedule: Full-time Dayshift

The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharge planning for all referred patients. The therapist plays a key role in helping patients achieve their highest physical, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing functions. The Staff Level I Therapist will align with Jefferson Health's mission, vision, and values, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

1. Interact professionally with co-workers, visitors, and staff, reflecting Jefferson's values.
2. Perform therapy evaluations, develop treatment plans, deliver interventions, and plan discharges across various settings including acute care, skilled facilities, rehab, and outpatient clinics.
3. Participate in student education, e.g., ICE, OT level 1, or full-time students.
4. Contribute to education and training, especially for novice clinicians.
5. Design and implement treatment programs to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
6. Use appropriate tools and techniques to ensure safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
7. Document patient progress, interventions, evaluations, and discharge summaries accurately.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
