Job summary

ClearHorizon Forensic & Counseling Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Resident in Counseling to join our clinical team at our Front Royal, Virginia location. This position is primarily in-office and will provide behavioral health services to adolescents, adults, and individuals involved with community and juvenile justice systems.

Telehealth services may also be provided as needed based on client and program needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia or pursuing licensure.
• Ability to maintain client documentation and records.
• Experience conducting assessments and treatment planning.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling and other clinically appropriate behavioral health services.
• Provide primarily in-person services at the Front Royal office.
• Provide telehealth services as needed based on client and program needs.
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation.
• Develop individualized treatment goals based on client needs.
• Utilize evidence-based and client-centered therapeutic interventions.
• Provide services to adolescents and adults with behavioral health, emotional, and psychosocial concerns.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with parents, guardians, referral sources, case managers, probation officers, and other members of the treatment team when appropriate.
• Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Participate in care coordination and treatment planning as required.
• Comply with applicable Virginia laws, regulations, ethical standards, and ClearHorizon policies and procedures.

ClearHorizon provides substance abuse counseling, mental health assessments, forensic evaluations, and support services to individuals referred by courts, attorneys, probation officers, and community partners.

ClearHorizon Forensic & Counseling Group is a multidisciplinary behavioral health practice providing evidence-based therapy, court-ordered assessments, and supportive services for individuals navigating legal, family, and personal challenges. We partner with courts, attorneys, and probation officers across the DMV region to provide timely, professional, and client-centered care.

Position Overview

ClearHorizon Forensic & Counseling Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Resident in Counseling to join our clinical team at our Front Royal, Virginia location.

This position is primarily in-office and will provide behavioral health services to adolescents, adults, and individuals involved with community and juvenile justice systems. Telehealth services may also be provided as needed based on client and program needs.

We are seeking a dependable, professional, and client-centered clinician who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.

Primary Responsibilities

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia; or Virginia Resident in Counseling working toward LPC licensure

Candidates should also possess:

• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to establish appropriate therapeutic relationships
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and organizational onboarding requirements

Independent Contractor Status

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Contractors are responsible for maintaining all applicable licenses, registrations, credentials, professional requirements, and insurance related to the services they provide.

Scheduling, caseload availability, and service expectations will be discussed during the interview process based on current program and client needs.
