Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Madison, WI seeks a Therapist Intern to develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services for patients and families across inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings.

The role requires a completed Bachelor's degree and enrollment in a Masters program in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling, plus onboarding training and required certifications within the first 60 days.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in a Master's Degree program in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
• Working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and techniques for all age groups.
• Onboarding training coursework completed prior to start.
• Formal training in management of aggressive patients (NCI) within 60 days with annual re-certification.
• Successful completion of pre-placement background checks.
• Occupational health clearance from your provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide social services to patients and their families/significant others.
• Complete all documentation within required time.
• Complete discharge documentation as required and on time.
• Provide leadership and guidance in clinical interventions.
• Communicate professionally and accurately.
• Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary approach and facilitate effective communication.
• Participate in site committees.
• Provide for patient safety and safety of the facility.
