Job summary

BrightView is seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our treatment team and support clients on their recovery journey. You will conduct group therapy, patient intake assessments, provide crisis de-escalation, and help coordinate care with a multidisciplinary onsite team.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of relevant experience, an entry-level clinical certification or state licensure, and strong communication and empathy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a relevant field is required.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree.
• Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team and attend required meetings.
• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic health record and ensure compliance.
