Travel is required within eastern Idaho and annual trips to Boise, with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

The Division of State Care Facilities has an opportunity for a Therapist Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the Developmental Disabilities Crisis Prevention and Court Services Team in the East Hub located in either Pocatello or Idaho Falls. This position will provide assessment and multifaceted rehabilitative services to clients, families, and community and department staff. We are seeking applicants who have experience providing ABA services within the home, community and working with a variety of ages. This position requires an individual to be a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Some travel will be required throughout eastern Idaho and annually to Boise with some overnight.

T This position may be eligible for limited telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.

• Designs, implements, and directs clinical therapies and rehabilitation programs.
• Provides clinical case management services as needed.
• Evaluates treatment effectiveness for person and family outcomes.
• Provides crisis intervention as needed to support providers and families.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team for treatment planning to assess a person’s biopsychosocial needs.
• Coordinates treatment programs with other service providers and community organizations.
• Provides client, family, and community education services.
• May design/implement training for department staff, families and service providers.
• Periodic after-hours rotation a few times a year is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) .

Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Typically gained by at least one year of related professional experience.
• Some knowledge of court procedures and practices. Typically gained by completion of related college course work or at least one year of professional experience that required working with court systems.
• Good knowledge of mental health and developmental disability social services/support services. Typically gained by at least one year of related professional experience that required knowledge of available resources and services.
