Oak Plains Academy seeks a Unit Program Manager to oversee the milieu on assigned units, supervise staff, and manage program schedules aligned with therapeutic goals. The role supports the interdisciplinary treatment team with ongoing resident care and role modeling, while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, education, or related field preferred.
• Three years supervisory experience in a psychiatric patient care setting with understanding of mental illness.
• 21 years of age and valid driver's license in good standing.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work 3 PM–11 PM, weekends and frequent overtime; and special events.
• Satisfactory health, strength, and stamina for physical and emotional demands; use of Handle with Care.

Responsibilities

• Manage the milieu of residents on assigned units and supervise Lead Mental Health Associates and Mental Health Associates.
• Oversee program schedules; create, organize, and implement activities supporting therapeutic goals and program fidelity.
• Act as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team; provide continuous resident care, observation, interaction, and role modeling.
• Ensure staff follow program policies, unit schedules, and organizational procedures; support Service Excellence Standards.
