Oak Plains Academy seeks a dynamic Therapist (MA/MSW) to join our team. The Therapist will oversee therapeutic services for a caseload of residents in a structured residential program serving children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges.

The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, coordination of master treatment and discharge plans, and delivery of individual, group and family therapy in accordance with licensure and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or clinical services field is required.
• Licensed in Tennessee as LPC/LCSW/LMFT is required.
• 1–2 years of experience with youth with emotional/behavioral diagnosis is required.
• Background check, fingerprinting and employment verification are required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee therapeutic services for a caseload of residents.

• Work with the Department of Child Services for family team meetings and court hearings.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy as required by licensure and contracts.

Oak Plains Academyis a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories.

The Therapistwill oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of residents. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each resident. The individual is required to work with the Department of Child Services with regards to child family team meetings and court hearings. Along with completing appropriate documentations. They will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned residents at Oak Plains Academy as required by contractual and licensure obligations. They will also participate in subsequent treatment planning, risk management assessment and aftercare and discharge planning. They will actively communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to residents and their family members, caregivers and placement options.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in social work/clinical services field required
