TheTherapeutic Support Specialist plays an essential role in creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for children receiving behavioral health services. This position provides daily supervision, engagement, and support while helping clients develop social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental skills.
The Specialist works closely with clinical and program leadership to implement individualized treatment and behavioral support plans, utilize evidence-based practices, respond to crisis situations, and promote a positive treatment environment. This role also provides opportunities to support staff development through coaching, skill-building, and modeling effective behavioral interventions.

This position works in a combination of office, school, and mental health treatment environments and involves direct interaction with children experiencing behavioral health challenges.
Employees may be exposed to shouting and clients who demonstrate verbal or physical aggression. The position requires the ability to remain calm, professional, and safety-focused when responding to challenging behaviors and crisis situations.
