Job summary

Harboroaks in Brooklyn Heights, Tennessee, is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to plan and implement activity therapy programs as part of a patient's treatment plan. You'll facilitate sessions aimed at improving patient mental and physical well-being.

A bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and experience in healthcare are required. This role involves working with patients to help them develop social skills and achieve their treatment goals through engaging activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or related field required.
• Three or more years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting is required.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required or currently in process of obtaining.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and implement activity therapy programs based on treatment plans.
• Facilitate and lead activity sessions to improve patients' mental and physical well-being.
• Develop treatment plans and implement interventions to meet patient needs.
