Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline or related field is required.
• CTRS certification preferred; relevant recreation therapy credentials are a plus.
• Experience in therapeutic recreation and working with adults/adolescents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess consumers' interests and recovery barriers to design appropriate recreational activities.
• Plan, develop, and implement daily recreation programs and special events.
• Deescalate crises when necessary and collaborate with the treatment team.
• Document assessments, progress, and education summaries clearly and promptly.
• Provide training and supervision to Recreational Aides as needed.
• Ensure activities support rehabilitation goals and respect privacy and dignity.
