Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy or related field and experience with people with disabilities.
• Alternative: Bachelor's in any field plus 2 years of recreation administration experience, including planning/implementing programs for persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, promote, and evaluate community programs and events for children, teens, and adults with disabilities.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• Train and supervise part- and full-time recreation leaders, interns, and volunteers.
• Liaise with public and private agencies, community groups, and schools.
• Assist in fund raising and making presentations; write reports.
• Prepare budget estimates for programs and events; perform other duties as assigned.
