Apple Rehab Coccomo in Meriden, CT is seeking a Recreation Assistant to support the development and delivery of therapeutic recreational services for residents. The role works with the Therapeutic Recreation Director to plan and execute activities that suit residents’ physical and emotional needs, with respect for religious days and community events.

The position requires a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and rotating weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to provide rotating weekend coverage of recreation activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of therapeutic recreational services for residents.
• Ensure high-quality recreation programs in accordance with standards.
• Uphold Residents’ Bill of Rights and maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Encourage resident participation and coordinate with volunteers and intergenerational events.
