Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Paraprofessional/Assistant Teacher at Wediko School in Hillsborough, NH. This role supports students with social and behavioral needs during the school day and collaborates with teachers to maintain structured learning environments.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree or 48 credits in education or human services, is committed to CPI-based practices, and can work independently or with a team to promote student progress.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 credits in education or human service field of study.
• NH DOE Para II licensure or will assist in process of obtaining license.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Satisfactory completion of CPI Training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative assistance for students needing social/behavioral support during the school day.
• Assist teachers by creating an environment with clear and consistent classroom behavior standards.
• Help maintain routines for independent and group work.
• Monitor student learning progress and maintain records of performance.
• Establish and model appropriate relationships with students.
• Assist with managing student behavior within school and classroom structures.
• Participate in supervision and assistant teacher academy.
