Job summary

Wediko School in Hillsborough, NH seeks Paraprofessionals/Assistant Teachers to support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs in a residential setting and during classroom instruction.

Responsibilities include modeling positive behavior, assisting teachers, supervising dorm life, maintaining progress records, and collaborating with staff to ensure safe, structured routines for students throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 credits in education or human services.
• NH DOE Para II licensure or assist in obtaining license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Satisfactory completion of CPI Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative assistance for students in the classroom and supervise students in the milieu environment.
• Model positive behavior and support classroom structures.
• Communicate with dorm staff, supervisors, and school personnel to ensure safety and program consistency.
• Maintain records of student performance and progress.
• Assist teachers and coordinators to manage student behavior and routines.
• Participate in supervision and the assistant teacher academy.
