Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Somerville seeks a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to provide structured, one-to-one support to youth in daily living, social, and communication skills at home and in the community.

The role offers collaboration with clinical teams, ongoing supervision, and paperwork duties to support youths and families. A degree in human services and relevant experience are preferred, with bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or related experience with youth.
• One year of experience with children/adolescents/transition age youth.

Responsibilities

• Support, coach, and train youth in age-appropriate behaviors and interpersonal skills.
• Identify supports and resources to enhance youths’ wellness.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to work toward goals identified by referral sources.
• Participate in weekly supervision, monthly staff meetings, and other projects as needed.
• Complete agency and third party payer paperwork requirements.
• Meet billing requirements weekly where program-specific.
