Mount Prospect Academy (MPA) seeks a Certified Humanities Classroom Teacher for its Pike Campus in New Hampshire. The role focuses on delivering standards-based instruction to residential students while supporting their behavioral and emotional growth in a structured therapeutic setting.

The position requires NH license, full-time hours, and collaboration with academic and clinical teams to create a safe, supportive learning environment. Salary up to $50,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• NH DOE Teaching Certification (required or in progress).
• Experience teaching middle or high school preferred.
• Experience working with youth (education, coaching, counseling, etc.).
• Passion for working with students with behavioral or emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons in your subject area.
• Create assignments, tests, and learning activities.
• Track and assess student progress.
• Support and implement IEP goals.
• Maintain documentation (lesson plans, grades, reports).
• Manage classroom behavior using supportive interventions.
• Supervise and guide teaching assistants.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and curriculum development.
