Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and comply with state regulations for Food Service departments.
• Assist in preparation of well-balanced, healthy meals per daily menu.
• Follow requests for special diets to support resident health.
• Assist plating using standard measures to ensure proper portions.
• Ensure meals are served on time with posted mealtimes.
• Provide residents seconds as needed.
• Prepare snacks per schedule and menu to ensure nutrition and hydration.
• Clean equipment and work areas to maintain sanitary kitchen conditions.
• Keep food in refrigerators/freezers dated and disposed of when outdated.
• Wash and sanitize dishes; operate dishwashing process efficiently.
• Maintain accurate temperature records for freezers and refrigerators.
• Present a clean, professional appearance (aprons, hair nets, protective clothing).
• Handle garbage/trash per designated containers; maintain resident confidentiality.
