Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to implement patient diet orders accurately and enhance patient satisfaction with meal service. You will collaborate with Clinical Dietitians and food service staff to meet dietary needs and ensure therapeutic accuracy.

Responsibilities include handling room service calls, using the room service software, assisting diverse patients, and supporting the care team to provide exceptional service and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutically correct meal items for patients.
• Answer room service telephone calls and use room service software accurately.
• Identify patients needing assistance and provide support to meet dietary needs within diet orders.
• Monitor and intervene for potential drug-nutrient interactions and for patients with food allergies or insulin-dependent patients.
• Communicate with Dietitians, food service staff, and other departments regarding patient care needs.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to achieve high patient satisfaction.
