Job summary

Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to implement patient diet orders accurately while enhancing meal service satisfaction. You will collaborate with Clinical Dietitians and food service staff to meet dietary needs.

The role requires strong listening and customer service skills, a high school diploma, and a team-oriented approach. Work hours are 9:30am–6:00pm, with EOW and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn and implement resources for maintaining therapeutic accuracy of diet orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutically correct meals for patients using tools and resources.
• Answer room service calls and use room service software accurately.
• Identify patients needing assistance and help them meet dietary preferences within orders.
• Monitor for potential drug-nutrient interactions and for patients with food allergies or on insulin.
• Communicate with Dietitians and food service staff about patient care needs.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to achieve high patient satisfaction.
