Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a health care setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with adult/geriatric population desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Read/write/speak English.
• Clear communication with nursing, admin and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Promote facility mission, vision and values to patients and staff.
• Facilitate leisure, recreation and wellness activities.
• Evaluate patient participation in activities.
• Maintain patient safety during all activities.
• Provide one-to-one activities when needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provide at least two therapeutic group activities daily on each Behavioral Unit.
• Document patient involvement in each activity.
• Educate patients and families at discharge about community opportunities.
