Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX seeks an Activity Aide Coordinator for full-time day shifts to coordinate therapeutic activities for diverse patient populations. You will assess, plan and implement activities in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support recovery and well-being.

We value strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to work with adults and geriatric patients. Training and CPI compliance are required within the first 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Certification as patient activity coordinator or company-approved orientation.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire date.
• Must read/write/speak English; clear communication with nursing, administration and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Promote mission, vision and values in services and practices.
• Facilitate leisure, recreation and wellness opportunities to improve well-being.
• Evaluate patients for participation in activities; maintain safety.
• Provide one-to-one activities when needed and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Lead two therapeutic group activities daily on each Behavioral Unit; document patient involvement.
• Assist CTRS with assessment; set up equipment and transport patients.
• Communicate progress or problems to CTRS and supervise teams as needed.
