Six Flags Entertainment Corporation in Gurnee, IL seeks a full-time maintenance technician to safely maintain park rides, machinery and equipment year-round. The role involves visual inspections, rehab work, and routine preventative maintenance on rides and attractions.

Applicants should have proficiency in two or more trades (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc.), strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, lifting up to 100 lbs, and climbing

Qualifications

• Proficient in two or more trades (e.g., mechanical, electrical, hydraulics).
• Ability to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely around guests and staff.
• Strong experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High safety sensitivity and comfort with various mechanical devices.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Physically able to climb, work at heights, crawl, lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of assigned rides and attractions
• Perform rehab work on theme park rides and attractions
• Maintain, erect, repair and trouble-shoot various theme park rides and attractions
• Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
• Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and/or power tools
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on various equipment including rides and attractions
• Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventative maintenance
