Job summary

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is hiring an Associate Production Manager to support production management across Theatre Company, Education, and Cabaret teams. The role coordinates production activities, assists with budgets, calendars, and safety, and ensures smooth coverage during rehearsals and performances.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of progressive management in theatre, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible theatrical management or related experience.
• Understanding of the theatrical production process from design through strike.
• Experience providing leadership coverage during rehearsals and performances.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of productions.
• Maintain knowledge of schedules, budgets, staffing, and agreements.
• Track production needs and flag issues.
• Provide coverage during rehearsals, previews, and performances.
• Coordinate priorities and resolve technical/logistical issues.
• Communicate decisions and calendar milestones.
