Job summary

Denver Center is seeking an Event Captain to oversee 60–80 annual events in our Denver venue. This part-time role focuses on top-tier customer service, liaising with clients, vendors, and staff to deliver seamless events with strong safety and quality standards.

You will manage event operations, coordinate with production teams, and assist in rehearsals and liaising for technical staff. Evening/weekend availability and crisis responsiveness are important in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in events or related field.
• Strong client-facing communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a live event setting within a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain BEOs with event timeline, floorplans, and AV needs.
• Oversight of contracted vendors and staff during setup, event, and strike.
• Direct contact for event vendors and venue staff.
• Ensure staff has tested audio levels and stage management.
• Attend weekly event production meetings and build client relationships.
