Hamline University in Saint Paul seeks a teaching-track faculty member for the Department of Performance, Production, and Community. Qualifications

• MFA in theatre design and technology.
• Adept at managing spaces and supervising the technical implementation of scenic and lighting designs.
• Skilled in using technology for theatre/performance and undergraduate instruction.
• Highly collaborative across disciplinary boundaries within the Division of the Arts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute designs (scenic, lighting, sound, digital projection) for two shows a year.
• Serve as the production manager for season of four shows - managing calendars, budgets, and builds.
• Teach at least one four-credit class a year within the program.
• Maintain the Anne Simley Theatre, requesting capital budget needs when necessary.
• Hire, train and mentor student workers in scene shop/light shop/sound/digital media/box office.
• Recruit, support, and retain students from diverse backgrounds.
• Lead a team of students to build sets, hang lights, etc. in collaboration with a scene shop supervisor.
• Work with guest artists and guest designers.
• Collaborate with the Program Director on curricular integrity and cross-department innovation.
