Job summary

UMaine Collins Center for the Arts in Orono, Maine, seeks a Manager of Theater Operations to execute event management, public assemblies, scheduling and artist/guest services. This role collaborates closely with the Director of Theater Operations, staff, student workers, volunteers, campus departments, and external partners to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience in event and/or facilities management.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, tact, and excellent communications skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and perform setup/teardown of equipment.
• Driver's license required for frequent local travel.

Responsibilities

• Execute all event management, public assembly, scheduling and artist/guest services at the Collins Center for the Arts.
• Coordinate with the Director of Theater Operations, staff, student employees, volunteers, campus departments, vendors and artist representatives.
• Work under the general oversight of the Director of Theater Operations to align with organizational objectives.
