Job summary

The University of Maine's Collins Center for the Arts seeks a Head Audio Engineer to lead all audio operations, lighting, sound, video, sets and rigging, and to oversee staff and safety. This 10-month position augments the Technical Director and ensures high-quality technical performances.

Responsibilities include overseeing audio needs for the Center, coordinating with production teams, and maintaining equipment while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Generally has the education associated with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, tact and excellent communications skills.
• The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• The ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 100 pounds using appropriate tools.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
