Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced Theater Technician to implement the technical vision and provide production expertise for events and rentals. You will work with the Corps Officers and Theater & Events Manager, ensuring top-notch AV, lighting, and rigging support.

Ideal candidates have at least five years in theatre production and customer service, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Minimum five years in theatre production.
Minimum five years in customer service.
Knowledge of theatre Box Office best practices with experience in ticketing databases.
Ability to communicate The Salvation Army Kroc Center’s mission and character.
Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain house lighting plot and default programming for equipment.
Assist with marketing, promotions, equipment maintenance, internal and external productions.
Serve as theater technician for evening and weekend rentals and facility usage.
Supervise staff and volunteers during facility uses.
Exhibit proficiency in theater audio/video/lighting/rigging systems and related tech.
Maintain audio networking systems and theater equipment.
Train Kroc staff on AV systems and educate technicians to use theater equipment.
Oversee theater equipment inventory and safety of systems.
Oversee the theater technician’s look and feel of the Kroc Theater.
