Job summary

The Vick Rooftop Bar at Hotel Celare in Cincinnati is seeking a friendly bartender to join the team. Take orders, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and light meals, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining spotless outlets and adherence to safety standards.

You will work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, with responsibilities spanning stock management, safety compliance, and collaboration with the General Manager and other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant/Food & Beverage field.
• Must meet state age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Effective communication with guests, management and staff.
• High school graduate; college preferred.
• ServSafe or food safety training is a plus.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with food & beverage cost controls.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Job Description

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Maintains and abides by standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
• Responsible for responding and handling guest related issues pertaining to the department.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
