Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at The Gunter Hotel in San Antonio. You will oversee culinary operations across outlets, craft show-stopping dishes, and drive memorable dining experiences, while guiding a talented crew through high-pressure service periods.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year college degree with at least three years of related experience or a four-year degree with one year related experience preferred.
• Five years of progressive hotel experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Ability to handle high‑pressure situations with composure and objectivity.
• Must meet certification requirements (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid).

• Supervise and assist in food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation across outlets.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and discipline kitchen staff for efficient and high-quality service.
• Manage food costs, budgets, and optimize cost/production ratios for performance.

• Anticipate issues and address them to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

Education & Experience
