The Gunter Hotel San Antonio in Downtown San Antonio, TX, invites a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to lead service excellence from the lounge to banquets. You will coach staff, ensure grooming and safety standards, manage payroll and scheduling, and drive promotions while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in hospitality or related fields, supervisory experience, and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in hotel or related field, or suitable mix of degrees and experience.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Admin Ace: Payroll, scheduling, and reports are your backstage domain. You keep the numbers in order, staff hours tracked, and productivity humming, all while making it feel effortless.
• Quality & Promotions Pro: You’re passionate about food looking and tasting top-notch, and you never shy away from dreaming up creative new promotions. Overseeing inventory and beverage purchasing is just another chance for you to shine.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree and 3+ years of related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure and objectivity.
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.
