Job summary

Marketlab is hiring a Textile Machine Operator (Manufacturing Associate II) in Caledonia, MI, to operate knitting machinery and related textile equipment on a first shift (Mon–Thu, 5:30 am–3:30 pm) on-site.

You will set up machines, manage yarn changes, monitor quality and performance, and perform routine adjustments as part of a hands-on manufacturing team. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical, manufacturing, or textile training preferred.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up knitting machines, warpers/creels, and supporting textile equipment.
• Load and change yarn and beams, thread and perform routine setup and changeovers.
• Monitor yarn tension, breaks, beam runout, and other process conditions.
• Make routine operator adjustments and address mechanical, electrical, or quality issues.
• Inspect in-process product for defined quality requirements and report nonconforming material.
• Record production documentation and monitor material usage and scrap.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety requirements including machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and material handling.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering for continuous improvement.
