Job summary

Ruggable is seeking an experienced Textile Designer to join its LA-based Design Team. The role demands creativity, strong CAD-like skills with Adobe Photoshop, and a keen eye for rug and interior trends.

You will work on producing trend-right textile designs that fit the brand and production pipeline. Ideal candidates have a degree in Design with textile focus, proficiency in color theory, and the ability to deliver polished files for cross-departmental use.

Qualifications

• AA or higher in Design with Textile/Surface focus; degree is preferred
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
• Understand color theory and color matching
• Strong design composition skills
• Strong technical and organizational skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Ability to give and receive constructive critique
• Ability to use a drawing tablet
• Elevated aesthetic aligned with the brand
• Based in LA area and able to work in office 2–3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Create up-to-date textile designs that are trend-setting and align with the Ruggable aesthetic
• Collaborate with the Design team to develop designs from concept to production
• Brainstorm and contribute to design iterations
• Assist other designers with ongoing projects as needed
• Prepare clean, cohesive files for cross-departmental use in omnichannel branding
• Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with strong communication and time management
• Demonstrate a team-oriented, organized, and goal-driven work style
• Be willing to learn and grow within the textile design team
