The Hanover Insurance Group seeks a Texas-licensed attorney to join our Staff Counsel team. You will defend insureds in general liability, D&O, real estate/title, and HOA matters, handle pre-litigation matters, and manage cases through discovery to trial.

Remote, in-office, or hybrid arrangements are available. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of civil litigation experience, strong negotiation skills, and are able to travel as needed for hearings and depositions.

Qualifikationen

• Texas license to practice law in state and federal courts.
• 10+ years in civil litigation; defense experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel for hearings and trials.

Aufgaben

• Defend Hanover insureds in general liability, D&O, real estate/title issues, HOA and related disputes.
• Independently conduct depositions, pre-trial discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate with claim professionals and clients on case status and evaluations.
• Provide legal advice, negotiate settlements, and attend round tables.
• Manage cases from inception through dismissal, settlement, or trial.
