Job summary

Herrman & Herrman, PLLC seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our growing Texas firm. The attorney will advocate for clients and deliver outstanding service while managing cases with independence.

Must be licensed in Texas and a graduate of an accredited law school, with strong writing, negotiation, and analytical skills. Responsibilities include case investigation, sign-ups, and potentially trial work; a competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Graduated from an accredited law school.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with strong negotiating skills and the ability to advance cases independently.
• Preferably one to two years of personal injury experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and develop all assigned cases.
• Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of the client’s claims.
• Secure authorization to sign up, decline or further evaluate claims.
• Explain the attorney-client contract.
• Sign up cases in and out of the office on a rotating schedule.
• Handle after-hours calls and secure new client sign-ups.
• Prepare status letters to update case status.
• Meet with clients as needed.
• Address and return all client calls by end of business day.
• Maximize case values and attorney fees recovered.
