Job summary

The Mortgage Law Firm in Texas seeks an experienced associate attorney to handle foreclosure-related litigation, loss-mitigation, bankruptcy, and related matters. You will supervise paralegal staff, coordinate with clients, and ensure compliance with regulatory demands while managing multiple files end-to-end.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active Texas Bar, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong writing and oral communication skills, and willingness to travel for court appearances and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate is required and Texas Bar in good standing.
  • 5+ years of experience as an associate attorney.
  • Background in foreclosure, title and/or bankruptcy preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple files in various stages of progression across litigation, foreclosures, bankruptcy, evictions, and related matters.
  • Attend court hearings and prepare pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Supervise paralegal staff and review/edit work product.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients and staff and ensure ethical standards and timeliness.
  • Conduct research on applicable law and facts; prepare strategy analyses for new cases.
