Job summary

HNE is seeking an experienced Texas Attorney to join its mortgage servicing practice, supporting national servicers, investors, and financial institutions. You will manage a diverse caseload of foreclosure, eviction, and related litigation matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with significant client interaction.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in foreclosure or eviction law, a JD from an accredited law school, and strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Strong legal writing and advocacy abilities are required.
• Ability to manage a high-volume foreclosure/eviction docket with precision.
• Experience with hearings and motion practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Texas foreclosure, eviction, and related litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file motions, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients at hearings, both virtual and in-person, as required.
• Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to mortgage servicing clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, court deadlines, and Texas-specific regulations.
• Communicate case status updates and legal recommendations to clients in a timely manner.
• Maintain accuracy and quality while managing a high-volume caseload.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Texas foreclosure, eviction, and related litigation matters from intake through resolution

• Prior experience representing mortgage servicers strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Texas foreclosure and eviction processes
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience handling hearings and motion practice
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficiency with legal technology platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
