Job summary

HNE is seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to oversee Texas-based foreclosure, eviction, and related litigation matters. The role requires a strong background in mortgage servicing, creditor’s rights, and Texas foreclosure law to manage a high-volume caseload with quality and compliance.

You will draft and file motions, attend hearings, provide guidance to clients and internal teams, and ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 8+ years of foreclosure, creditor’s rights, real estate, eviction, or related litigation.
• Mortgage servicing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and case management abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Texas foreclosure, eviction, and related litigation matters.
• Draft, review, and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Attend virtual and in-person court hearings as required.
• Provide legal guidance to clients and internal teams on mortgage servicing and foreclosure matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, client requirements, and case deadlines.
• Manage caseload priorities while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
• Coordinate with legal teams, clients, opposing counsel, and courts to support case progression.
• Support consistent legal processes, documentation standards, and service quality.
