Job summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools is seeking an Early Literacy Lead to drive state literacy priorities from PreK-3. The role leads Reading Academies implementation, builds teacher knowledge, coaches leaders, and analyzes data to improve student achievement across Texas regions.

The position requires travel to Austin, Dallas/Ft Worth, Houston & San Antonio with about 75% time in schools, and collaboration with the Director of Foundational Literacy and Instructional Excellence.

Qualifications

• Texas Reading Academies Cohort Leader screener required.
• Experience in literacy leadership and coaching preferred.
• Strong knowledge of foundational literacy and Reading Academies.

Responsibilities

• Manage success of Reading Academies implementation for assigned cohorts.
• Lead implementation of state literacy priorities across PreK-3.
• Develop, manage, and lead statewide literacy pilots and plans.
• Coach regional Early Literacy leads, APs, SLs, and academics teams.
• Conduct statewide and regional data analysis to guide instructional decisions.
• Maintain curriculum and feedback cycles across grades.
• Support regions in developing literacy PL scope & sequence.
• Plan and lead virtual and in-person literacy PD for K-3.
