Job summary

TESIM Electric seeks a Director of Business Development to own relationships with Texas general contractors and drive TESIM onto every short list in the state. You will live at bid walks, precon meetings, and executive lunches, owning the pipeline, pursuit strategy, and win-rate numbers.

You will manage the GC relationship map, pursue strategy decisions, and build executive-level connections with Precon leaders and chief estimators while collaborating with the estimating team to convert

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical construction business development, preconstruction or GC-facing roles.
• Existing network among Texas GCs, developers, or hyperscale/enterprise data center owners.
• Track record of moving companies onto GC short lists and winning meaningful work.
• Executive presence — comfortable with senior GC/owner leadership.
• Willingness to live in your calendar and on the road.

Responsibilities

• Own the GC relationship map and 12-month pipeline.
• Define pursuit strategy: which jobs to chase and which to walk away from.
• Maintain executive-level relationships with VP/Director of Precon and senior GC leadership.
• Work with estimating team to convert opportunities into won work.
• Represent TESIM at industry events and target-account meetings.
• Track and report pipeline metrics: meetings, bids, win rate, revenue.
