Job summary

The Learning Experience seeks a Manager, Texas Child Care Licensing & Compliance to support childcare centers across Texas with licensing compliance, inspection readiness, and regulatory risk management. This field-based role serves as a subject matter expert on Texas childcare licensing and HHSC standards, partnering with Center Directors to strengthen regulatory practices.

You will travel approximately 80% across markets, guide licensing applications, renewals, and corrective actions, and

Qualifications

• Experience in Texas childcare licensing, regulatory compliance, or multi-site childcare operations.
• Strong knowledge of Texas childcare licensing minimum standards and HHSC regulations.
• Experience supporting licensing inspections, investigations, or corrective action plans.
• Understanding of childcare health, safety, staffing, and documentation requirements.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical operating expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on Texas licensing requirements and standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate into practical guidance for centers.
• Support licensing applications, renewals, amendments, and documentation.
• Guide centers on staff qualifications, training, ratios, supervision, background checks, and recordkeeping.
• Support new center openings and licensing initiatives.
