Apex Tool Group is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Texas region, overseeing a team of Industrial Territory Sales Managers with about 30–50% travel. The role reports to the Regional Sales Director and collaborates with leadership, marketing, operations, and end users to grow market share.

Based in Texas, you will drive plan-to-close cycles, utilize data-driven forecasting, and coach staff to exceed sales targets while expanding customer relationships across the territory.

Qualifications

• BS in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
• Distribution and end-user territory management experience required in a relative industry.
• Prior management experience is required.
• Proven track record of success the sales cycle from plan to close.
• Value based sales leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of sales growth.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and motivate a team of two Territory Sales Managers.
• Achieve company objectives through planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
• Continuously develop leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring the team uses effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
• Generate leads, and build and nurture client relationships.
• Partner with Territory Sales Managers to meet with their customers and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs.
