Job summary

Williams invites students to join our 10-to-12-week engineering internship program in Tulsa, OK, or other locations. You’ll gain hands-on experience, contribute to real projects, and receive mentorship from leaders while building on current coursework and personal skills.

Expected graduation windows include Dec 2027 or beyond. The role offers a 40-hour week, a hybrid work option, a housing stipend, and relocation support for moves over 50 miles from home and school.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering with expected graduation December 2027 or later.
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship, OPT or CPT.
• Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to relocate for the summer internship.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes real-time data to identify efficiencies and asset maintenance.
• Develops understanding of Williams core business and operating areas.
• Collaborates with teams across operating areas to achieve enterprise goals.
• Contributes to major projects and capital expansions.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, energy, mechanical or petroleum engineering, with a graduation date of December 2027 or beyond (financial engineering, computer science and AI engineering - please apply to the Business/IT application)
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship, OPT or CPT
• Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Willingness and ability to relocate for the summer to our engineering internship locations

What You’ll Do

• Develops understanding of Williams core business and operating areas
• Gathers and analyzes real-time data to identify efficiencies and ensures proper asset maintenance
• Builds credibility with customers by contributing to major projects and capital expansions
• Collaborates with various teams across operating areas and fields to achieve enterprise goals
• Follows and supports Williams Values
• Work schedule is generally Monday-Friday 40 hours/week; hybrid schedule may be available
• Other duties as assigned

Pay

Pay is a nonnegotiable, hourly rate that is determined by graduation date: Master's Program = $47.60 Fall 2027 - Spring 2028= $43.30 Summer 2028, Fall 2028, and Spring 2029= $38.50 Summer 2029 and beyond= $33.70. We also offer accrued sick pay, medical and 401(k) benefits.
